One of the most productive and successful Makossa singers of the eighties was Pierre de Moussy, with eight albums in eleven years on his credit. So it was a good decision from MPS Music earlier this year, to bring out a "best of CD" from Pierre de moussy. In fact it is a rerelease of the "best of" CD from 1995 on Alhadji Toure's label. The CD covers the period between 1981 and 1986 and contains most of de Moussy's big hits like "Ka lonko", "Jomba jomba", both from 1981, "Radio trottoir" from1982 and Deuxième bureau from 1986. It's a good CD but in my opinion the second part of the eighties is a bit undervalued. A good reason for me to present you some songs from the period after 1986.
During the nineties Pierre de Moussy became less productive. It took six years after "Reviens moi Fatimatou" until he came with the album "Zero amour" in 1997.
