Pmartt was born Martial Njiemoun in Cameroon, Africa. Pmartt came to the United States at the age of 10, barely speaking anything other than his native tongues of French and Bamoun. As time progressed, Pmartt began to learn the English language, later on leading him to discover his passion for music.
Pmartt has been determined to conquer the ears of his fans around the nation performing at national events, concerts, music conferences, festivals, fashion shows, talent shows and much more. Pmartt has featured in venues that are nationally respected such as South By Southwest.
Pmartt has written, recorded, and performed new material tirelessly, making a name for himself in the hot independent music scene across Chicago. While doing so he simultaneously continues to rub elbows with A-List stars that inspire promote and increase awareness of his unique sound.
After releasing his single "Caught In Love”, his career has begun to heat up as the single followed up with a music video and requests for major performances throughout Chicago and beyond.
He was recently casted on MTV’s new docu-series, “Time’s Up” which premiered on MTV in March 2014. Airing in over 7 countries, including Holland, Germany, Italy, Latin America, Switzerland, UK, Pmartt’s single “Caught In Love” is also featured on the show.
PMARTT has opened up for major acts such as R&B superstar Lloyd, Jeremih, Travis Porter and Kendrick Lamar’s TDE.
Pmartt’s successes continued with being nominated for the Afro Entertainment’s New Comer Award, obtaining a Bachelor’s in Music Business from Columbia College Chicago and performing at Manifest which is one of Columbia College’s largest artist showcase in the Midwest.
PMARTT’s debut album, “Nothing Sounds The Same”, released June 18th 2015; is available now on iTunes, Spotify, and all digital music retailers.
